Prior to working at Merrill Lynch, Simon started his career running his own safari operations in Botswana. At Merrill Lynch he was responsible for relationships with sub-Saharan Africa, incorporating both government, corporate, institutions and UHNWs.. Simon was a top producer Oppenheimer & Co International Bank as Senior Vice President covering Africa and the Middle East. He build up international relationships for Investec to open up selected African markets. Simon was a partner with The Harrier Group of Funds. Simon's interests involved owing a game farm in Limpopo and holding an extensive property portfolio in South Africa. He raises capital for select businesses as well as advising and mentoring emerging market stock brokers.
Simon was one of the key founders of Bana Ba Metsi, a school built for underprivileged children and orphans in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.
